Clever Pets 2023

The statistics are in, and 2010 was a very good year for the Animal refuge. The number of cats brought to the shelter has dropped 26 percent, from 1002 to 738. The number of dogs brought to the shelter has dropped even more dramatically, from 737 to 476, a reduction of 35 percent.

I believe that we can attribute these improvements to the shelter’s low cost initiatives, the Human Society release program, and the residents of Culpeper who, despite these tough economic times, continue to care for their pets.

Cat also known as the domestic cat or house cat.  Cats have been associated with humans for at least 9,400 years and are currently the most popular pet in the world..
